What is space?

Space is the physical universe beyond the earth's atmosphere, 100km above Earth's surface. Space appears as a black blanket dotted with stars. Space is filled with many forms of radiation that are dangerous to humans.

Interesting Facts:

The Apollo astronauts' footprints on the moon may stay there for at least 100 million years
Because of lower gravity, 100kg on Earth would only weigh 38kg on Mars
Any free-moving liquid in space will form into a sphere because of the surface tension
The odds of being hit by space debris is 1 in 5 billion
Astronauts can't burp in space
Space is nearly a perfect vacuum as it only contains a few hydrogen atoms per cubic meter
